Sac bridal shower - outdoor venue?

We're starting to plan a bridal shower for my friend in the Sac area. It'll be at the end of May, so an outdoor venue would be nice. Small is good! In my head, a tea room with a garden patio, or even at a park would be perfect. There will only be around 20 guests, and the bridal party is on a very VERY limited budget, so we really can't book anywhere huge or fancy. Anyone know of any places that match that description? Or know the best way to do a shower at a park, without running the risk of competing with other park goers that might be throwing a birthday party or having a soccer game? Any suggestions would be much appreciated! Smile

There really is no way to have it in a public space and not compete. You can always book a space at a park so that it's yours no matter what, but if there are other parties going on, or games, there will be noise. I would consider having it inside though. You never know what the weather will be. Last May it was pouring a lot and windy, remember? Also, if there is food, you don't have to worry about flys or ants. Or if it's too hot, or too cold!

A cute tea place that is rather affordable, and they do have an outdoor space (though I don't know if they use it for their teas) is Powers Mansion in Auburn.

Also, An Afternoon to Remember in Newcastle has teas in their Victorian.

Also, A Dache of Panache in Old Roseville, has bridal party packages I think:

Or you could use one of those places to cater and just book a park for their cheap fee.

    Good luck!

  • Thanks for the advice! :-)
  • If anyone in the party has a nice backyard, you can set up tables and have a tea party. It would be more budget friendly and private than a public park.
  • Land Park in sacramento (by the zoo) is a huge park and is beautiful! I would recommend doing it there and just have a nice picnic style occassion.
