Deploying Bride and Groom

Both my fiance and I are headed overseas in the next three weeks. We will be deployed together. We won't be back until November. We planned our wedding date for June 16, 2012. I have already picked out my wedding colors but that's it. Its going to be so hard trying to plan a wedding overseas...then come back to the states and try to put everything together....does anyone have any advice or suggestions? I would gladly appreciate it :)

    A couple of questions:  how large of wedding are you planning? Do you expect many out of town guests?  If you're expecting many people and they are out of town, I'd send the save the dates 6-7 mos out...

    I'd try to go ahead and secure the venue, photographer, florist, DJ/band and officiant before you go. I know it sounds like a lot, but those are things that are musts  June is a high wedding season and many venues and vendors are booked early.

    The girls on this board are super helpful and any of us could provide suggestions for any of the above mentioned. 

    In regards to attire:  GM's.. not so urgent, but your dress and BM's drsses can take 6-9 mos to order.  If you want a dress of the rack, that's easier..

    Thank you!! I was considering to go ahead and book the convention center because thats where we want our reception and we already have a DJ I just felt like it was too early because its not until 2012 but you made a valid point and I really appreciate it.
