Save the Date cards went out last week, with date, location, and accomodation information.

My aunt just called because she tried to make a hotel reservation, and the rooms aren't blocked off. FI never sent the contract, after telling me he did prior to actually sending out the cards. No, scratch that - prior to actually ORDERING the cards, because I told him it had to be settled before we sent them out.

UGH. We're trying to fix this right now, but I don't have Microsoft Word on my computer to download & print the contract to sign and send, and FI is at work...here's hoping we can do it all digitally.

I know there's such a thing as Powerpoint viewer for free online, does Word have something like that?

Pretty sure yeah. Honestly, just call them, explain your predicament, and ask them to block them and you'll send the contract out first thing tomorrow. i doubt rooms are already too full.

FI actually found a digital signature thing for PDF, so he's doing that and emailing the contract back to the hotel.

I'm just really annoyed that it came to this. The good news is that we had until the 24th to sign it anyway, so it's not like there's a huge hassle.

I am trying to be good at delegating wedding responsibilities to FI, because he asked me to so I don't have to do everything, and then stuff like this happens />.< Delegation doesn't work if I have to stay on top of him the whole time...at that point I might as well do it myself.

Chalk it up to, things we're glad we're learning about each other before the whole marriage thing is official

I understand completly! I try and give FI tasks to help with and he puts it off, puts it off and I have to keep reminding him so I end up keeping everything on my to-do list so I know it gets taken care of.
