Tropical + Affordable = Possible?!?

Hi ladies!! I'm sure this has been asked before, but I was just wanting to get some ideas on where to go for our honeymoon. We don't really care if it's all inclusive or not. We just want some where safe (obviously!), where there wouldn't be too big of lanugage barier, some where tropial, and some where that  would not cost us a ton of money! We want cheap! :)

Any ideas??

    What do you consider cheap?  My first suggestions whenever anyone says "cheap" are the DR, Jamaica or Mexico.  I have been to all three.  I like Jamaica the best, but a lot of people disagree with my assessment of fun and safety there.  If you stay in a resort, you shouldn't have a language barrier in any of those locations.

    If you are traveling in the low season (around April 15-Dec 15) you can pick almost any island in the Caribbean for $5k.  We honeymooned in St. Barth and just did a second trip there last year (both 7 nights). The island has a reputation for being quite expensive but in the low season it is very affordable.  Granted,on our honeymoon we did splurge and spent around $7k + plus flights but our return trip was only $3500 + flights.  We've also done trips to the BVI (7 nights) and Mexico (3 nights) for well under $5k.

    It is doable in any location....I've stayed in Aruba, Turks and Caicos and Mexico for cheaper than that. We are staying at Secrets Maroma for 10 nights (Adults only AI) for 3700 (in total) including airfare and hotel transfers. We never had any language barrier in any of these places either, as the wait, concierge and bar staff all speak English. While looking there was a great deal in Grand Cayman as well. I think you just have to decide and weigh options. We wanted adults only and AI so we decided on Secrets.

    Denise91980- Where's the location of the secrests Maroma your talking about? That sounds like a GREAT deal for $3500! Also the price depends greatly on the season, when is your HM?

    If your budget is $5000, then go to Hawaii, you can do a couple different islands.
