Melting M&M's?

So I had this idea for favors to do black and white M&M's and have them say M&N since those are our initials (cheesey I know). I was going to put them in black boxes and tie them with ribbon and make them look really cute. However, our wedding is in August and I am worried that the chocolates may be exposed to heat during transportation. I don't want to have to be worrying about the favors or running the chance that when the guests open their favors that the candy is slightly melted or a chocolate mess! Any ideas?

    Even if they are exposed to heat during transit, will they be cool once they are in the venue?

    If you start the AC in the car before leaving, they should be fine.
