Sunflower Seeds

Soo..
My FI and I are getting married in April of 2014. This is in Spring of course and I had a pretty good idea I think on favors..
I was thinking getting a sunflower seed and wrapping it up in some pretty blue wrap with a bow. I also want a card on there that says Our name on the front and then on the back either have a sweet bible verse or have a message from us personalized.
What do you ladies think about that? :)
Let me know!

Re: Sunflower Seeds

  • A sunflower seed...as in a single seed wrapped up? Those are kind of small, aren't they? I mean, is it for eating, or planting, or what? It' s a cute idea for maybe a little pack of seeds...
  • I'm assuming you mean a small bag of them for people to eat? Do sunflower seeds have any special significance for you and your FI or for your city/region?

Personally, I'm not a fan of sunflower seeds (especially still in the outer casing) and wouldn't even take the favor home.

  • No..
it's an idea my mom came up with.
The sunflower is a flower that blooms well in the spring,
and our wedding is in April,
so we thought that would be cute.
My parents gave their guests wildflower seeds.
Some people give flower seeds as favors so they can grow the flower in their yeard as a remembrance of their wedding day.
