Sharing my wedding favor idea

My FI is a Freemason and I am a biology undergrad so I decided it would be adorable if we bought these teeny pots with Forget Me Nots. The Forget Me Not is part of Masonic history and it has romantic lore associated with it as well.

Target sells them for $1 in the early spring. Right now they have some for veggies I believe so you can see the size. The pots are terra cotta and they can fit in your palm. It comes with soil, seeds and instructions. I grew one for a Botany class and worked out great until I ... forgot about it. LOL

I'm going to attach notes to each one explaining the significance of the Forget Me Not. I know not everyone is going to want one but it has a lot of significance to us. Plus my FI can pass out the extras at his Lodge to the men who weren't able to make it to the wedding. 

In January (when I bought mine last year for class) we're going to contact the manager of our local Target to see if he'll give us a discount if we order like 100 of them.

    My sister did mini terra cotta pots with flower seeds as her favor for her wedding (hers were a little bigger and she got them at CVS for maybe $1.50-$2) and they were a big hit. Cute idea and love that has a significance to you and your fiance!

    We did the general idea of a bag of soil, a packet of seeds, and a ribbon around the pot for my sister's shower favor.  I'll be honest, even as the hostess, I threw mine away & they were my idea.
