Hi all! I'm brand new here, and finally got some motivation to get this wedding planning thing rolling, so here I am!

My name is Lauren, and my fiance and I got engaged on December 11, 2010. We have a beautiful little girl together and we live in the Pike Creek area. We don't have a date set yet, but the brainstorming has officially started!

Anyway, just wanted to stop in and say hey. Congrats to everyone (engaged, recently married, AND expecting as I've seen!)

The girls on here are FANTASTIC. Seriously. I literally found most of my vendors through this board. You can't find a better group of girls.

The other thing I would recommend is checking out the Philly board. Since most vendors do the Tri-State Area, the vendors on the Philly board are relevant. Plus, it's a bit more active than the DE board, and the girls are really helpful when it comes to ideas.

Definitely outdoors. If not at a local vineyard, we are thinking of possibly having it in my FSIL's back yard.

Mostly DIY, vintage chic. Lots from Etsy. Purple and white (maybe green accent?). Peonies. Mason jars. Birdcage veil.

As of right now, I'm mostly just tossing ideas around in my head. We haven't done any REAL planning or purchasing, yet. In fact, we haven't even set up a budget! My parents mentioned helping, but haven't given me any idea of how much they're willing to spend. There's always some sort of miscommunication with them (they're divorced).

I'll be able to really start planning once I have a concrete idea of how much help we have and how much we need to save.
