Vendor Reviews Dayton 12/31/10

I had a wonderful time at my wedding in part because of my wonderful vendors that I had. I hope this review helps you all out.

Ceremony/Reception: Dayton Art Institute- A++++, this is the best place ever to get married. Absolutely beautiful venue and the director, Chuck, is fantastic to work with. I couldn't have asked for a better venue.
Cake: Dorothy Lane Market- A+, the cake tasted delicious and everyone else seemed to love it as well. Plus the price was great as well
Caterer: Elegant Fare- A+++, The food was so so good and all of the guests couldn't help complimenting us about the style of food we picked (southern homecooking). The captain, Scott, was very helpful and attentive to our needs and our main contact, Renee, was exceptionally wonderful to work with as well.
Flowers: The Flower Shoppe- A+++, I don't even know what to say here, the flowers and decor was beyond belief beautiful. Mark did a fanastic job and made the ceremony and reception look so beautiful. Plus he was very easy to work with and laid back which I loved!!!
DJ: Party Pleasers- C-, I was not very impressed with them at all. It seems within the company they had a lot of communication problems. We ended up having the same introduction meeting three times with three different DJ's and were not assigned a DJ until the Monday before the wedding. Our DJ was okay, but a bit boring. The price was good, but that was about it with them.
Photographers: Mark Garber Photography- A++++, Mark and his wife Jennifer did a fantastic job with our wedding. They were both very easy to work with and were not pushy at all. The pictures were amazing and I have been receiving so many compliments. I couldn't have asked for better photographers.
Invitations/Save the Dates: The Envelope- A++++, Annie did a fantastic job with both our invitations and STD's. They were a little expensive, but very unique and different from what you normally see.
Rentals: Primetime Party Rental- A, they did a great job with the linens and sashes for the chairs. They looked beautiful on the table. Plus the swagging from the ceiling with the twinkling lights was gorgeous. All the guests loved that!!!

I hope this helps some of you brides out. I had such a great time at my wedding and as you can see I had some very great vendors to work with. I didn't see any big hitches either, but I was kind of oblivious to anything that day :-)
