Taking a walk yesterday w/ FI and my daughter, we came upon a very sweet stray cat that was so lovey that we couldn't resist taking her home. After calling around to see if anyone had reported a lost cat matching her description (she's already front-declawed and spayed), I got her vet-checked today so she's cleared to be around our other cats. Yay! After spending the past 5 hours debating names, we decided to take the T.S Eliot approach (cats have 3 names), naming her "Johanna Gingerfuzz Crookshanks". FI picked the first, which according to the Naming of Cats poem is the normal, everyday name. My daughter picked the second, the name unique among cats (even though it probably isn't). I picked the last, even though the third name is technically only known to the cat. I couldn't resist. She looks SO MUCH like Crookshanks

And she's a Hemingway cat-- extra toes on her front paws-- so she has these adorable big tufty mitten feet which are so danged cute! Now we're a two adult, one child, and three cat household. I love it
