I haven't been on TK for awhile so I could really figure out what FI and I wanted for our wedding. I'm happy to report that we found something that we're both comfortable with! Our new plan is to have the ceremony on a Friday afternoon at the courthouse with just immediate family and then have dinner at a nearby restaurant with the same group of people. FI and I will head out for a few days by ourselves, come home and get all the kiddos and head to WI Dells for a few days. Then we'll come home and have a pig roast at our house with extended family & friends. We changed our season from fall to summer to accommodate the kids' schedules.
Once I got past the idea that I thought I was missing the "traditional" details like making the invitations, dress shopping, flowers, etc. and realized that I will still get to do all that, I fell in love with our plan!
