Storing Gown before First Fitting

So my dress came today!  Yay!  But I'm not getting married until June.  It came a whole 6 weeks earlier than they had predicted.  My question to you guys - where the heck do I keep this thing?  My parents don't live in the same state or else I'd put it there.  I have to figure out what to do with it in my lovely 1 bedroom apartment.  Does it matter if it stays in the box?  Do I need to hang it somewhere?

I'm not planning on doing my first fitting until the end of March.  Let me know what you guys did!  Thanks

    I stored mine in a closet in my house that had a lot of room and could be hung high enough off the floor. I kept it in the bags it came in also.

    The store is actually the one to send it to me.  I'm getting it altered in Chicago, but bought it in Dallas so I had to get it shipped to me.  It's so far sitting in the UPS box.  Perhaps under the bed?

    i have mine hanging in a cedar closet...
    i'd either hang it in the bags it came with, or keep it in the box.  they're going to steam it and fluff it during your fittings anyway. the most important part is to keep it in a temperature controled area and away from moisture.

    I've had my gown hanging in a fabric garment bag in a spare closet since I purchased it a year and a half ago.  It's been fine.

    Whoever said it was supposed to be happily ever after is a big fat liar.
