Bridal party

Do you think it will look funny in pictures if I only had a maid of honor, best man, one groomsmen and one bridesmaid? Initially I wanted two bridesmaid and two groomsmen but I don't have any other close friends or family. :(

I think it'd look fine.  It's about the people and your relationship with them, not the numbers.

Not at all!! I wanted to have a small bridal party. I don't have many close' female friends, so that made it more difficult for me. However, FI has too many guy friends...so I lost that one.

IMO, bridal parties should be the close people that you want to be a part of your wedding day. It shouldn't matter if that's one person or twenty.

Nope not at all.  We are having 3 girls on my side and only 2 guys on FI's side.  We cared more about asking the people who we feel closest to, to stand up with us, than we cared about symetry  ;)

Plus having a small bridal party makes things much less complicated and saves you some $$ too  ;)

not a bit - I am personally not a fan of weddings where the processional/recessional feels like a parade because there are 12 people on each side.  I had the exact same bridal party size as you and it was lovely.  I had my 2 sisters as attendants and DH is an only child so had his 2 best friends.  We added in my brother in law as an usher and that was all.

I love pictures of small WPs. Seriously, ours was huuuuge, and you can hardly see anyone's faces. More importantly, a smaller WP will be more meaningful and will allow your photographer to have more creative freedom.

There is nothing wrong with a small wp and as long as you're including the people that you want to include, then go for it!

I think a small WP is just fine! It is whoever is closest to you!

Ask who you want and don't worry about not having a huge WP.  Also, you'll really only use 1 or 2 WP pictures after your wedding anyone in an album....most of the pictures you will use will be you and your DH so don't pick people to stand up for you just for pictures.

Of course not! I like small BPs-- they are intimate and easier to keep track of.
I would suggest, though, to wait to ask them a while longer, maybe till you're like 11 months out. It saves a lot of potential headache later.
