Accountability - Monday

Hmmm.... I totally forgot about the weekend accountability! If anyone ever notices I'm missing one, please feel free to nudge me or remind me hahaha, I am forgetful sometimes when I get my mind on something else....

This weekend I finished week 3 of C25K and loved it. I dared FI to start C25K and so he is starting week 1 this week! A friend also owns one of those 'Total Gym' machines and doesn't use it so she's letting us take it home. It looks like it might be a fun way to get a home workout in when we're too busy until after the gym closes (I am in a small town so it closes at 11, not a 24hr deal lol).

What was everyone's weekend like? Anyone hit new goals? Share with me what your goals are...

I am doing inches lost, and talked all these goals over with FI:
1" - Mani/Pedi and I get to get the latest tattoo I have been wanting for awhile
2" - FI is paying for me to get a massage
3" - My 'inspiration bikini' from Victoria Secret :)

Here's today's inspiration picture, one I think I'm going to print off and hang up at home :)

Re: Accountability - Monday

  • This week my success was being exceptionally good with my eating! I broke my leg so I am having to rely a lot on diet now to keep on track. I can tell that my arms have gotten a lot stronger from using crutches. This week I am starting seated exercise videos for cardio and abs!

This weekend was a "bad" weekend for me... I kind of fell off the boat.  It was nice to have a cheat weekend to be honest-- I didn't feel bad about dousing my crab in butter at Joe's Crab Shack on Friday night, or about having too many Jello shots on Saturday.  Now I'm ready to worry about those things again.

I'm doing my goals on poundage & milestones.
30 pounds lost: Start trying on my old clothes & let myself wear whatever fits (in other words, that Rubbermaid drawer unit full of clothes that don't fit *might* start to empty out a little bit!)
41 pounds lost (goal weight!): New lingerie & b-pics!

    Finishing P90X: Couples massage
Size 1/2 Jeans: 2-3 new outfits for the honeymoon
Gap Between my Thighs: New jeans
    Six Pack: Honeymoon bikini

Woot!  I'm ready to earn all of those things!!
  • PS- I'm a half a pound away from my halfway point (20 pounds lost)!!  So freaking excited!!
  • we skipped the gym friday and sunday, mostly because Dan had work to catch up on. saturday though, i had a great workout. i started off with my intervals (2 minutes slow pace, 1 minute sprint pace), and then i didn't want to stop running (though i was too tired to do more intervals), so i just kept going at my slow pace and increased from there. i ended up running 4 miles, which is the most i've ran since my last half marathon, which was about a year and a half ago. it felt great! i love when i can get into a running mood like that and just keep going.

i think i might be getting to the point where i need new running shoes. i haven't kept track of my mileage with these, but i know i've been using them for probably 9-10 months now. i've stuck with the same shoes for the past 4 years, but i think i might want to branch out. i've been looking into the nike frees, and besides the fun colors, i really like how light they are. anyone have any recs for shoes?

  • Food was okay for me this weekend but not great.  Exercise was pretty crappy.  Something is messed up in my foot and I was only able to run a mile on Friday and I had to bike the rest of the time at the gym.  I've been trying to rest my foot but it's impossible for me to stay off of my feet.  I'm just bummed because I had big plans for a 12 mile run this weekend.  Stupid foot!

Kelly, I'd go to to local running company and have them see how you walk/run.  They can fit you for shoes that will work great for you.  I used to be all about colors and gravitated towards crazy light shoes but ultimately that wasn't what was best for my feet.  Once I got fitted I ran better and had less pain.
  • great ideas for motivation to reach your goals Britt!

I did really well this weekend actually; it's amazing how much better I feel when I avoid gluten and amp up the protein (and hydration!). My tummy wasn't bloated at all all weekend - loved it!

Today I am doing a spin class with 30 of my coworkers! It's gonna be so fun! I organized a group session to get people out of the office and doing something fun together ;)

  • I felt like I ate really bad this weekend.  I went to visit FI so by the time I got in town after a 4 hour drive Friday night, all that was open for dinner was McDonalds.  I had hotel breakfasts Sat and Sun.  And we ate out on Saturday night too.  But, this morning I had lost a pound since Fri.  FI reminded me while we didn't eat great we didn't overeat so I guess that's the difference.  Missed workouts Fri and Sat.  Last night when I got home I did some JM.  Tonight I have a pilates class and start week 2 of the 100 pushup challenge.  Have high hopes for this week after a tiring weekend I already feel a little run down so may end up falling short of that.

I probably should come up with some goals/rewards.  I'm not trying to lose weight though or drop a size.  I'm more trying to tone which is hard to measure.  I hadn't see FI in 2 weeks and he kept telling me how great I look so that was reward enough in itself!  I do need a new bathing suit and always love new lingerie so maybe everytime I am good for 3-4 weeks I'll treat myself!

this is how i picked out my current shoes (i've gone through 4 pairs already). i went to a local store and they watched me walk/run and figured out what shoes worked for me. i guess i'm just looking for something different. maybe i'll just go back there and tell them what i want.

Hmmm maybe if I add a 'finished C25K' that will get both FI and I going... I'll have to find out what his reward for that will be and think of one for myself :)
  • This weekend was bad eating.  I am up 3lbs from sodium.  We went to a Japanese Hibachi place on Saturday and then Sunday we had BBQ Pulled Pork.
