Well lets just say that today that was beyond overwhelming! I don't really know why exactly, I just have been horribly stressed today. I have been super snippy with people and everyone is getting on my nerves. It wasn't maybe the best idea to plan a wedding during my busiest time at work. I am so much looking forward to being gone from work the better part of next week.
I don't have a ton left to do really. Mainly last minute stuff that can't be done any earlier. Pretty much what I have left is making & frosting cupcakes. Dipping the cake & cheesecake pops. Making a CD of ceremony music. Printing signs for the dessert table. Finishing touches on the cardbox. Then that just leaves the decorating the day before.
I am pretty sure we are not going to have the chair covers and sashes as the vendor has been less than reliable. Funny thing is that I already wrote that off so long ago it isn't even stressing me out know.
I just feel like I am in a surreal state right now. I feel like I have been doing this planning for so long that it feels like the wedding is still really far away, although it is just right around the corner.
YOU CAN DO EEET! I'm super excited for your wedding! I feel like we haven't seen a lot of stuff, so it'll all be a surprise. Except the dress, we've seen those bad boys.
I feel a little misty about so many people getting married so fast.

I haven't really posted much of any DIY because I don't really see it as being all that fabulous, especially when comparing it to all you crafty ladies on this board. I am hoping that in the setting and through the artistic lens of the photographer the items will look a lot better than they do in my living room. I will probably post pics of my cardbox. That looks pretty fabulous.
Oh Loopy I am so happy and excited for you ! You should post things , don't worry , my stuff is far from awesome but I am so happy with it all it dosent matter what everyone else thinks as long as I am happy with it ! I had one of those days/weeks about being short with people..it is stressful and its okay to feel that way , in a weird way you kind fo sometimes need to feel that way to let it all out.
I was worrying about chair covers and sashes and now..I could care less. Granted our chairs in the restaurant are a nice cherry wood with black accents but even so , I am not going to miss them. It is amazing how fast everything is coming together , but we will be here for you..you can do it !!
Post stuff. I love seeing projects. I pretty much failed DIYing except for stuff we did on the computer but I love looking at other people's stuff.
And I know how you feel about the wedding seeming far off as it got closer. I kept on saying "I wish it were tomorrow." It will come though!

I know EXACTLY what you mean about feeling like it's still far away. I woke up on the morning of my wedding, thought "Today is my wedding day! But.... no way, it's still MONTHS away, right?"
I'm sure everything is beautiful! Your living room probably doesn't do your work justice.

I am going through these feelings right now , Totally agree lol. I want to see all your awesome stuff !
Oh Loopy, post your DIY stuff please? I have a couple things on my list to DIY and I'd love to see some things that are fabulous and not quite as perfect as Kat's... no offense to Kat at all, love all her stuff. I'm just glad that none of her stuff will be at my wedding because I'd be embarrassed!

I only have pictures of 2 things here at work. I have kind of slacked on taking pictures. No pics of the invites. Most things have made it over to the FIL's and is no longer at my house. I do have th card box, which should be finished up tonight. That I will make sure to take pictures of. I can also take pictures of the bar menu/dessert menu signs tonight.
Cake Pop holders: (horribly labor intensive)
There are about 12 of these I think. They will go on every other chair on either side of the aisle.
What are the cake-pop holders made out of? They're really neat looking! lol

The cake pop holders - we cut a carpet roll/tube (super thick cardboard that the carpet is wrapped around) which was like cutting wood into pieces. I had purchased a thick piece of styrofoam which we used to go on the inside of the tube. We set all the tube pieces on the styrofoam and pounded them into the concrete like piece of styrofoam. The tubes were painted in dark purple paint. I had originally purchased spraypaint for the tube. It would have taken forever and it didn't cover very well. As coincidence would have it, the spraypaint matched the paint perfectly, so the spraypaint was used on the top of the styrofoam. I then attached various lace pieces. Got the general idea from a blog when looking for cake pop holders.
Everything is awesome I love it , would have loved to see more pics ! I have been thee exact opposite , I have been photographong everyhting , people are probably tired of me lol. The aisle decor is super adorable !

Glad to know I was able to relieve some of your sleep stress Dwest.
I do have to give my mom credit for coming up with the carpet roll. The best part is we went into Menards (not sure how wide spread they are... pretty much the same as Home Depot) and asked if they had any extra rolls, they did and it was free!

Right now accuweather.com says my wedding day is going to be 80 with bright sun. Lets see how many times that changes between now and then.
