Invitations are out...and I think I'm gonna be sick!

We mailed out our invitations today and I'm starting to FREAK OUT! It feels so real now, and now I'm so nervous! What if no on shows up? What if they do show up, but everybody hates it? What if something goes wrong?? AHHHH! I think I'm gonna throw up from all the nerves!

Just breathe and relax! People will show up and some will not. People will love what you have done and some may not but at the end of the day none of that matters. Its really just about marrying your honey!!! So take it day by day and try to let yourself enjoy this.

Mine are going out soon too. I'm freakng too. I have a lot going on this month. 2 showers, a bachelorette party, dress fittings and food tasting. Crazy

Dude I'm eating, drinking, breathing, and dreaming paralegal materials right now, so wedding stuff is totally in the back of my mind. I have reminders set up, like to send my invitations at the end of the month, but I seriously don't have time to dwell on it, and I like that. It's keeping me distracted and the big day will be here before I know it. I'll graduate my program 3 weeks before we say I do!

So that would sort of be my advice to you, I guess. If WR stuff is stressing you out, find something else to focus your attention on. Start a hobby, start a workout program, dive into a new book series, start watching a new show on TV, something to keep your mind off of what you have to do (just keep a calendar and reminders so you don't miss deadlines!).

I have mostly been ok and no nerves, but it seems that every step makes me a little nervous when I'm doing it. Setting date, ordering STDs and then sending them out. Now I've ordered invites and waiting on them to get here. Then I've got to address them and then mail them out. Oh yeah, the biggest stomach drop/butterflies feeling was when FI sent me the email "Our honeymoon is booked." That made it feel more real than anything else up to that point haha

Mine went out last Thursday, already got 10 yes. Sigh..... I think I will be drinking alot of wine till April. Honeymoon booked but Will is not telling me where it is, he wont even let me pack for my self, I wont know till we are at the Airport

<div>OMG I don't know how you are handling that. For any old date, yeah I'll let FI surprise me, but for my HM?!? No way jose. I would absolutely freak. Not only would the literal fact of not knowing drive me BONKERS but I'd be so paranoid about FI not give me hints about what to pack and that I'd forget something. I'd take very different things on a cruise than a backpacking Europe trip , KWIM? Or even an Alaskan cruise versus a Caribbean, obviously. I'm glad you have more faith in your FI than I have in mine! </div><div>

I know how you feel about surprises! Having said that, i think it's incredibly cute of him to do something like that. BUT i would get annoyed not being able to pack for myself. What if he misses something important?!

We are working on DD's invites right now....should be ready to mail by Monday!

Try to relax - remember that something usually DOES go wrong, but you need to keep it all in perspective: at the end of the day you will be married! And in 10 years or even 10 months will what went wrong really matter?

I do not think he is actually going to pack for me. I think my sisters are going to pack for him, for me. We have always taken awesome trips and he is more high maintanced than I am when it comes to hotels and staying at places so I do not think it will be you know a Honeymoon in Iran or anything.<img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-cool.gif" border="0" alt="Cool" title="Cool" /> I am sure it will be not on the state department do not travel list.

@Delaney85 the HM is a surprise to me as well!!! He won't even tell me if it's booked yet or not! I think I'll get some sort of hint for Vday next week but we'll see. I love that it's a surprise.. it makes it more fun! We'll have to let each other know how it goes and where each other is going!

That's really sweet and romantic, but I think I would kill my FI if he did that. He takes me on secret little day trips frequently and I am constantly (and I mean almost every single time) wearing the wrong shoes. I can't imagine packing for a vacation without knowing where I'm going. lol

I got messages about the invites rolling in... EEKK.. How weird.

After having to change my date several times because of FI's job...I guess there is no turning back now! April 21st here we come!

Thanks for the encouraging words ladies! Two friends e-mailed me today to tell me they got the invitations (can't believe they arrived so fast!) and how excited they are to attend. That got me pumped!

To the ladies going on surprise honeymoons -- you are a better woman than me! I trust my fiance to plan something great (he's been so helpful planning our St. Thomas honeymoon!) but I'm such a control freak, there's no way I'd be able to go with the flow of not knowing. I'd probably have a panic attack or something, LOL.
