Any tux rental recommendations?

Hi!

We went to Men's Warehouse and Jos. A. Banks last week and had AWFUL experiences at both stores. So I am coming to you lovely ladies in hopes that you could reommend some tux rental places.

We have groomsmen in several other states so we were hoping to use one of the national chains but that doesn't look like it will work after those bad experiences. Has anyone used a local Miami tux rental vendor for mutlistate groomsmen?

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks so much!

Re: Any tux rental recommendations?

  • As of late I have been hearing bad experiences from both stores you mentioned...
I would recommend Mr. Tux, there is one in Pembroke Pines and in Kendall. Very nice staff. We have one GM he lives outside of the country and we were told to have him get himself measured by a professional where he lives and they can make the alterations that way. It's something to consider.
  • I would suggest trying a different Men's Wearhouse. FI and I have been to the one in Sawgrass a couple times and they are HORRIBLE, terrible customer service, and cannot do their job correctly whatsoever.
We decided to switch our order to the one outside the Broward Mall, everyone is getting measured where they are and picking them up there. We had been there a couple times for FI to get some things, and they are phenomenal. So on the ball, great service, extremely knowledgeable and helpful. It's sad, but sometimes the same company can have 2 stores with vastly different experiences. I honestly think the issue with the one in Sawgrass is that they don't really do much beyond renting tuxes for weddings and prom- they are literally next to the David's Bridal, so I don't think they really care about doing a good job for their customers.
If you try a different MW, then I second Dania on the Mr. Tux, I've heard good things about them also. HTH!
  • I agree that your experience is going to depend a lot on the franchise/store. I had a great experience with the Men's Wearhouse up here in Maryland.
