We don't have a song!

We have very different tastes when it comes to music.  Sooo, choosing a song has been a little tough.  I wanted Josh Groban or Sade, and he wanted Robin Thicke (can you say inappropriate?).  Well, we both like Dave Matthews Band and recently I came across "Steady As We Go".  What do you guys think of it as a wedding song??

    I just listened to part of it and looked at the lyrics and I think it could be a good wedding song.  It does seem to focus a little bit on getting through the rough times rather than just being happy, so that's something to think about.

    Yeah, that's why I was on the fence.  I just wanted other people to listen to the lyrics too, because I didn't want our guests to be like, "why did they pick this?".

    Ah, just go with what you like.  I think we're going to go with a non-traditional interesting song choice because it has meaning to us.

    I don't know that song, but what Sarah said-just go with what you like. Your guests probably won't be paying attention the lyrics of the song and focusing on you and your husband. :) We are going with Never Tear us apart by INXS. Did you mean a song for your first dance?

    I found a Knot newsletter that has the 30 Hip First Dance songs. I've heard of most of them, and not others.  My FI is an INXS and Prince fan, so I liked the two Prince songs on the list. I googled the titles and was able to listen to some and find the lyrics. Smile
