bubbles

Hi All!

Advice needed from experienced brides, please...

Everyone seems to have leftover bubbles to sell... is there a standard % of guest bubbles to buy?  Like, 150 invited, so buy 75% of that # or something?

Thank you!

probably about 1/2 cause not everyone will take them afterwards...& men don't care for blowing bubbles so it'll mostly just be the women & the kids that will use them

If you really want people to blow the bubbles I would suggest assigning someone to hand them out as people walk out of the ceremony.  I went to a wedding this past October where the couple had some of their friends physically hand them to people.  It's the only time I've seen a sucessful bubble exit.  If you just leave them in a basket for people to pick up on their own, many are not going to do it.

Our venue won't allow them.  No bubbles... no rice... no bird seed... no aisle runner of any kind... and no petals in the church (for the FG).  They are afraid that I will slip and break my neck on the bubbles, petals, and aisle runner... and they said that rice and bird seed is "just plain mean" because it hurts when the couple is pelted with tiny little edible bullets.

Paprika: I like it when you burp in my ear. It really turns me on.

I did bubbles for my first wedding and I'd never do them again. Soap + eyes= big mistake.

We're doing bells instead- no clean up, still the same effect. Plus it's an old irish tradition. (for fertility, i believe. FI is very irish)

Oh, and we're getting married in december.
