Wedding Invitations & Paper

RSVP cards Children

Is it ok to only invite children of family not friends? How should it be worded on an RSVP card?

Reasons:
Our friends with kids are local so I feel they can arrange childcare. Our venue is small and we are paying for the wedding ourselves.

Re: RSVP cards Children

  • Do not put anything on the RSVP card. Write the names of the children invites on the envelope.

  • The RSVP card is for guests to write in who is attending, not for you to say who is invited.

On the envelope, specify exactly who is invited:

Mr. and Mrs. John Smith (not The Smiths or The Smith Family)

and if you want kids to come:
    Mr. and Mrs. John Smith
    Sally and Joe
