Linen Material??

So I plan to order our linens off of LinenTableCloth.com...but I am unsure what material to get. When deciding between polyester and satin, I immediately think satin seems more classy and elegant....yet the satin ones are cheaper than the polyester?? What are the pros and cons of each? Which material is everyone else ordering? Thanks in advance ladies! :)

Re: Linen Material??

  • Polyester is easier to clean if there are spills, their satin is ruined if something is spilled on it. Also, Satin is slippery. Overall good quality.
What if you do a polyester cloth and a satin runner?

  • I am all for the polyester! They say you need to wash and iron all the table linens before the event and polyester is definitely easier to clean!

  • Sounds good ladies...thanks!
  • I went with polyester for my linens simply because I didn't know how satin or pintuck would go with everything else as far as textures and stuff. Also, for some reason I don't like how satin in particular photographs. They say if you are going to splurge for anything though it should be on the quality of the napkins because it will be touching your guests faces. I still went for poly for those too though.
