Weddings at Barefoot Resort NMB??

I have been to Barefoot Resort in North Myrtle Beach twice before and we really like it there. We are considering looking into getting married there. My Fiancee's parents live there too. I would like to get some opinions other than theirs (which are bias of course).....
Has anyone looked into them or dealt with them? How did it go? 

Any info would be fab! Thanks so much... I have a while to go April 2013!

    There are many wonderful options in the Myrtle Beach area.  Visit Grand Occasions web site to view pictures of past weddings and events in Myrtle Beach and surrounding areas at many different venues.

    Hi! I am also looking into having a wedding there. I just gave them a call today, and they said the conference center is currently closed (they just sold the resort, so I'm guessing the change-over has not been completed) which would also mean they are not open to events at the outdoor area near the marina on the waterway. He gave me the phone number to the Dye Estates, which was a wrong number, and everywhere I look online to try to find the right phone number, it only shows phone numbers for golf packages and accomodations. I'm not giving up though! Good luck.

    I checked out that area when I was down there this spring. I was disappointed to hear that the area by the marina had closed. It is large and WAS really nice. Now it is all over grown and abandoned looking. I was kinda bummed about that. I do know that they do weddings at the club house for the golf course, however I don't know if you have to be a member or not. I am going to go down the fall and speak with someone there. My MIL to be lives there and we LOVE LOVE LOVE it there... If I get a number or any more info I will let you know. I have been going thru my MIL for everything because she goes right to the head of whatever to get me the answers I want... lol
