Paperless Post for STDs

Has anyone seen these/used them/received one? Did you think it went well? I love the idea of sending an email STD if it is as cute as these are, but I have a few reservations and would love to hear others' opinions!

Thanks all.

Re: Paperless Post for STDs

  • I think this is a terrible idea for one major reason: guests can forward it.  I think there are other things that might be an issue - for instance if you accidently send one to the wrong email address - but forwarding is entirely out of your control.

Personally I also dislike paperless post.  I know, I know: it saves trees.  But that's why we should recycle.  Honestly, I can't keep up with emails that are 6 months old.  A paper STD I can put on the refrigerator.

  • Thanks for the input, hoffse. I definitely understand your concern.

Anyone else have thoughts or suggestions? I may just not send STDs, as we are having a longer engagement and most people will know the date by word of mouth.

  • I would suggest not doing the email as the STD. Some people (especially the older generation) are not necissarily computer-savy and may not have a computer, let alone an email address. I think in order to be sure everyone knows about your wedding would be either paper/magnet STD or, like you suggested, let it be spread by word of mouth.

A STD card can be a fun way to express you and your fiance's personalities with pictures and stuff as well and you can get them fun and cheap through Walmart photocenter or Walgrees ect.
  • We created electronic STDs using Cocodot.com, and they came out VERY nicely. We were also able to order a few (I ordered 10) for those who don't use email as much. We got great feedback.
