Reception venue help on a tight budget!!

Hello! My fiance and I are doing everything our selves and we are on a tight tight budget. We are strugling to find a reception venue that will be $1000 or less, let us bring in our own vendors (catering especially) and can fit at least 150 people. Does anyone have any suggestions for me (other than cutting the list, believe me I've tried!)? We are looking to get married in April 2011 so we're on a time crunch.

Also the Kennesaw Community Center, they charge by the hour and you can provide any vendors you like.

You can check local parks and buildings owned by the county. They can be cheaper and you get more time (we found one for a minimum of 8 hours). Good luck!

Nash farm in Hampton is $300. Bring all your own venders. It is a county owned park so no alcohol.

The Solarium in Decatur is 50% off if a resident of the 30030 area code signs the contract. We're gettting married on a SUnday over a holiday weekend, so it was only $600!

Also, for a rustic wedding, you could check out the Garden Hills rec center - it's only $300, and if you wanted a shabby chic or rustic look it would be perfect.

Another thing to think about is neighborhood clubhouses. We almost used my fiance's aunt's newly remodeled neighborhood clubhouse. It was well-decorated and inexpensive, but we didn't want to get married while the pool was open.
