New here and in need ot Desperate HELP!!!!!

ok so here's the deal...my fiance and i are set to be married this July....everything was going GREAT...found my dress bout it off the rack on sale for 500 less than i anticipated spending....my bm's have bought and paid for their dresses....flower girls have paid for their dresses....ceremony location paid for.......reception location paid for......but here's the kicker....the reception venue is now in "contract" negotiations with their property manager and they dont know if they will be in the same space come time for my wedding....their lease is up the end of May and the wedding is in July...how the heck am i gonna find another reception location with such short notice? we originally planned to spend 6k total on the wedding and came in right under 5k with ceremony+reception but now thats all been shot to heck b/c of this bump in the road....any advice????? we could do the reception at the ceremony location but they are insanely high...

    Where are you located at? There are some resonable places West of Atlanta and up in Canton.

    If they move to another space, I think they should honor your contract (assuming they do move to another space), and not charge you the difference if there is one. If not, then they should give you a full refund. I would start looking for another venue, just in case so as to have a plan B. So sorry, this is happening!!! But, just breathe and pray - maybe after their negotiations are over, they may still be in the same space and you would have worried for nothing Smile

    What does your contract say?  I would imagine that if they move to a new spot, they still have to honor your contract?

    Definately review your contract. That happened to a previous knottie and they paid the extra to move her to another site. GL!

    i'm located in Lawrenceville....the owner is offereing to give us a full refund..the problem is he's not sure if he can find a place to move into. he said the last itme he moved it took him 3 months to set up the venue to his liking..the place he's in now was custom built just for him and his partner to use as a banquet hall...he's seems to be avoiding me though. i've called and left several messages for him and his associates and ive gone by the banquet hall to talk to them but only the setup/breakdown crew is there...as it is right now we are planning on having the ceremony at Northwoods Country Club to do the reception there as well would be an extra 5700 not including photographers, djs,etc....
