Our first "invitation? We never got your invitation!"

GAH! FI and I were at a BBQ yesterday, and he was talking to two friends of ours (who hadn't yet RSVPed). He taps me on the shoulder: "So-and-so and so-and-so never got our invitation." So now I begin freaking out about how many others are just lost in USPS Land. We didn't get any back! Blergh. Have you guys who have sent out invites had this happen? Did it freak you out too?

    Well, now that I read this, I'm freaking out a little because I'm mailing mine out tomorrow, I'm doing the last of the addresses now.

    I guess I'll find out when I don't get the reply card!  lol

    I haven't heard that we have, but I did receive one back in the mail last week. It's of my cousin who lives out of state and her family gave me the address, but it says no such number! Worse is these are people I don't really talk to, so calling them to sort out a new address is going to be weird.  

    I sure hope everyone else got their invitations for your sake!

    I'm wondering the same thing about lost invitations.  We received 2 back yesterday.  One says no such person living at this address and no forward address available.  The second one is just weird.  My FI put clear address labels on all of our invites when we worked on them, and this one particular invite has the label actually ripped off of it and the invite was returned to us saying no address available and no forwarding address.  Whats weird about it is made it to the city the person lives in, but then was returned.

    We got the same thing from one of the groomsmen!! Thank god we have extras and see him enough to just give it in person. I just felt horrible because I know I sent them one!!

    I sent out 54 invites and know that two people never got theirs, and I KNOW I put invites in the mail for both these addresses.
    It doesn't have to be perfect to be everything I want!
