calling all past and soon to be brides: French Quarter wedding timeline

Hello Lovely dolls!
I am 39 days away.. woo hooo. Hope planning is going well for you guys. I need some help with sorting out my timeline. I have a rough draft, but there is just so much up in the air. I need help with estimates for people who have had ceremonies in the french quarter or have an idea of nola wedding timing.

Ceremony starts at 5:00pm. What time would I have to leave Poydras to get to Feench quarter in time to start at 5pm?

My ceremony is very short, I am anticipating 20-30 minutes( if that)

5:45- 6:45- pictures at the courtyard after guests leave

Cocktail starts at :6:45: I am hoping the shuttle can whip everyone over there between 5:30 and 6:30... resaonable timing?

Dinner: 8:00pm. I really want guests to start dinner at 8:00pm. I am thinking that we should start with the MC by 7:45 so once the entire bridal party enters it'll be about 8 pm to start dinner.

Any other ideas? Anything that I need to tbe thinking about?

Thanks ladies

Where is the ceremony? Where is the reception? Are you doing a second line?

The Ceremony is at the W Hotel French Quarter. The ceremony is at the W on  Poydras in the business district. No second line. Limo will shuttle us back and forth

If the ceremony ends at 5:30, what will guests do until cocktails at 6:45 since they're not that far apart?  Will they be shuttled by a limo bus?  How many guests?

Also, are cocktails one hour long (in other words, ending right at the moment you want the MC to do introductions) in the same room as the reception?  Just wondering if you have to factor any time for guests to get from one room to another and possibly, have to find escort cards and seats (if you're having escort cards and/or assigned seating).

And you may have already factored these in, but in case you didn't, with respect to when dinner will be served, you might want to think about the timing of toasts and first dance.

39 days-- how exciting!  Hope it turns out lovely!

Exciting! When I was thinking of only using a planner for hourly I called a few and timelines was in their packages as ala carte (spelling) maybe you can go that route just have someone draft a final timeline for you.
