What Song

should we play during our sand ceremony? I know that it is really only going to be just a blurp of a song since it won't take us that long to pour sand but I feel like there should be something playing in the background.

Here is what I've found so far:
What a Wonderful World - Michael Buble version
Somewhere Over the Rainbow - IZ
Better Together - Jack Johnson
Have I Told You Lately - Rod Stewart
Wonderful Tonight - Eric Clapton
Stand by Me - The Drifters

Which song you would pick or what other suggestions do you have?!?! Thanks Ladies :)

Re: What Song

  • My vote is for either one of these:
What a Wonderful World - Michael Buble version
Somewhere Over the Rainbow - IZ

Our officiant wanted us to pick a song to play during our unity candle, too, so I guess that's just par for the course =]

I vote Better Together. It fits since youre combining the sand and are "better together" :-P That was one of the two songs I wanted to our first dance, we're gonna play it as our last slow song of the night instead. :)
  • We used "Breathe" by Michael W. Smith. I had never heard it before the organist/piano/keyboard lady suggested it, but it's very pretty. We added giving flowers to our mothers and grandmother to have enough time for her to get through enough of the song to not sound too short.
  • We are using "I'm Yours" Jason Mraz. But I like your choice of "Better Together."
  • Have I Told You Lately - Rod Stewart is my vote

  • I like Somewhere Over the Ranbow or What a Wonderful World. I would've gone with Have I Told You Lately if it was the original Van Morrison version because I adore that song, I'm just not crazy about the Rod Stewart version, so it didn't get my vote :)
