So I got 2 new duvet covers tonight I almost got a 3rd one (wish I had) anyways I decided I liked this one best out of the 2 I brought home. Well, T got home and said it looked like a dorm room (which I had kind of worried about)I was hoping it just looked spring/ summery. So, what do you think? Too childish looking?

I realize I really need a new bedskirt and a new picture for oever the bed...

Truth? Not a fan. To me it looks like something you threw on there until you could buy a new one. It looks "dated," not in a retro or traditional way, just out of style.

Shelly- that first one you posted is one I keep running across that I like. I don't really want to spend over $100 so I suppose thats in my price range haha
FWIW, The one I got is really nothing like mystyle. I like clean lines, black, white and greys.

Go to Target. I was there a few weeks ago and saw some grey/silver ones that were nice.

I am shopping around for a new set bc our cats have clawed the crap out of our bed.

Our room has a charcoal grey wall and cream, and black furniture, so we are pretty limited.
If I see anything else, I'll keep you posted

I dont think it goes with your bed frame at all for one, there are also no colorful accents anywhere in the room so it looks out of place.

Shelly- Your room sounds gorgeous. I so badly want to paint. I alredy looked at target, no luck.

Nebb- agreed. I have no color in my room at all right now because I haven't decided on a color scheme (I'd preger grey with touches of yellow). I desperately want a new bedroom set but thats way out of the budget. I am looking possibly for an old headboard to redo.

I feel like FI would be mad if I made him sleep in a bed that had a girly print like that on it. It's fine if you're alone most of the time (see: my bathroom that's all decorated in hot pink damask), but I dunno... I feel like rooms for couples should be more gender neutral? Maybe that's just me though.

ETA: Do you ever get those 20% off coupons for BB&B? I bought pretty much all of my major apartment stuff using those, including bedding, and I saved a bundle.

In the end, its not going to be on the bed FOREVER, and who other than the two of you is ever going to see it. I say get some flowers, a few colorful accessories if you can find them onsale, and let it go. Its cute, but you just sleep on it so it isnt a huge deal if it doesnt match everything.

Sarah#'s I typically make sure its gender nuetral I think I kind of got frustrated and just settled.

Rach- Yes! Target has lots of yellows and greys right now. They have some comforters I like as well but no duvet covers and I'm not parting with my down comforter.

Oh yes :) T keeps the house freezing in the summer. Plus, I love the weight of it.
I am typically more concerned with the gender neutrality thing. His biggest thing is it must be soft.

Go to TJ Maxx, Ross, or Tuesday Morning... You'll find some great deals on bedding. Those are the only stores where I buy sheets, towels, etc. because I love a good bargain
