The Bendora Wedding Gallery

Has anyone been to the Bendora Wedding Gallery in Worthington? They're a wedding planning service that say they're pretty much free. I'm skeptical but curious. Anyone been there or know anything about it?

I keep getting emails from them, but I haven't really read what they do or anything.

I have worked with them! They have a room full of wedding magazines that you can just go and read which is nice! They do get kickbacks from the vendors they refer you to so they push certain vendors. However, Tara is really nice and she did connect me with So Inviting Designs who is going to do my invitations so for me it was worth the meeting. They will "shop" what you want for you at the price you want so that is nice but it does take a couple of weeks sometimes for them to get back to you. I say its worth a trip!

I know someone that works there.  She is a "wedding broker" and explained to me that she contacts the vendors and negotiates the price for you.  That's all I know :)

I dropped in (Bendora) one day as I was picking up my ring from the jeweler where we purchased it, and I thought it was super cute. I am looking at hiring them as a full service planner...their pricing was really good compared to what I've seen elsewhere and Sarah was really nice.

I am just new to this and wanted to research all the best planner in town before I choose.

Any other help or feedback is appreciated! I'm hoping to make a decision soon, so I can get planning!

I can help with this one!  I hired Bendora to be my Brokers and I LOVE THEM!  I was weirded out too with the “What’s a Wedding Broker?!”  But, after Tarah (the owner) was so super nice to me a one of the Bridal Shows in Columbus, umm at Vets I think…she explained that they could help me find vendors, set-up appointments for me, I could come check out magazines at their store and all sorts of other good stuff  At that point ladies, I was feeling soooooo overwhelmed with working full time, going to grad school, planning a wedding and oh yeah trying to spending time with Rob, my handsome finance, I was willing to give ANYTHING a try!!!  So, I signed up and all I have to say is Bendora is WEDDING LIFE SAVER!!!!!!!!!   Let me give you a for example… I had been trying to get in contact with several venues for our receptions and we kept playing phone tag (I am a teacher and can’t answer my phone during the day)  Within 2 days the Bendora girls had ALL my appts set-up with all the venues I wanted to see and guess who has a receptions site, that’s me! Smile I also found a photographer that did “artisty photos” that I loved (I am an art teacher) but he was suuuper expensive, like the smallest package was $5,000.  Tarah found me a photograph with the same style I loved for $1,500!!!!!!  With that vendor alone, that covered the cost of me signing up!  Seriously, you ladies have got to check them out!!!

Thanks for the review! I did end up hiring them to help! I'm super excited! I'll post a review as I get further into the process :-)

Sarah is my "Wedding Agent" and she seems super fun! So much to do!!!

Anyone know of a barn in town? I can't find anything that isn't really far away!

Ohhh Sarah is my Wedding Broker too!!! Awesome!  As for a barn...I remember in College going to a sorority barn dance some place in hilliard.  It was about a 25 min drive from campus.  Of course there is a much of place like on the way to circleville that I see going to the pumpkin show, but that might be too far.  Maybe google "barn rental + columbus"
