La Bella, Hilton Gazebo Wedding, reviews and recommendations

Hi Everyone!

My G2B and I are travelling from England to get married in Vegas in September. There will be about 20 guests from England and Australia. We wanted a cheap but cheerful and 'Vegas vibe' wedding, and we wanted to get married outdoors in an evening close to the strip. So we originally booked the chapel of the flowers outdoor gazebo, but have since seen some pics that make it look like its right next to the car park and not quite as pretty are we hoped. So we have since booked the gazebo at la bella - the hilton.

There is are few reviews and pics I was hoping for any advice, opinions or recommendations about the gazebo at la bella that we can get. And if you all think the transfer from the chapel of flowers to the hilton is a wise move.

And for those that are interested, we are also having pre wedding drinks at Dos Caminos in the plazzo, and a post wedding meal at Canaletto - Venetian, followed by a few drinks at la scena. Seeing as there are only 20 of us, we want to see a few places, and will all travel to the wedding together!

Thank you! Jacki

You may have jumped out of the frying pan and into the fire; unfortunately we've recently learned, as of about ten days ago, that Hilton is revoking the franchise agreement from that property so it will no longer be a Hilton at the end of the year.  This of course has people theorizing that employees will get nervous and jump ship so there could end up being turnover and service could suffer; although there's been mixed reviews on the service too already...

From what I understand COTF is not in the nicest area but you have no idea what's surrounding it once you're in there so every bride I've seen post on here has said it's been a non-issue.

There are also very nice outside venues at Flamingo, Caesars and Mandalay that might be worth checking into.

COTF gazebo does back onto the car park, and definitely put me off. It is in a very cute but tiny garden, but there is nothing seperating it whatsoever.

I would 100% recommend the Glass Gardens at COF though. It also backs onto the car park, but all the guests will be facing the opposite direction and it is really pretty.

There is also a gazebo at the Flamingo which looked quite nice.

You Brits are all fancy with your "car park."  Next you'll be calling erasers rubbers, car trunks boots, and driving on the left.

    Wacky.

I don't get married often, but when I do, I do it in Las Vegas.

If I remember correctly, La Bella is a leased outlet.  Not owned by the casino, not operated by casino employees.  Customer service for the wedding chapel shouldn't be impacted.   But like VG said, general customer service might be impacted - hotel rooms, restaurants, that sort of thing.

FI and I went this past weekend and are 95% sure we are going to book with La Bella. Thanfully because of this board right before we went I found out about the change. I told FI and he asked the consultant flat out if this would be a problem. She said no it would not be a problem if we booked with them ( we are planning to get married next October). I will, just to be safe, get everything in writing after we book with them. You can also call and ask them too. I'm sure whoever buys the hotel may not want to get rid of the chapel since it brings in lots of business.

It's (probably) not changing ownership, just names.  It isn't owned by Hilton.  They just lease the name.  The same owners own the Atlantic City Hilton, which was stripped of the name and currently goes by ACH. (source =http://www.pressofatlanticcity.com/news/breaking/don-t-call-it-atlantic-city-hilton-casino-resort-anymore/article_1665fc84-a369-11e0-857e-001cc4c03286.html)

Even if it did change owners, which happens in Vegas, their contract with La Bella should be worded so that La Bella continues business as usual.

Aww guys, thanks so much for the info. I'm a bit worried about la bella now, so please if anyone else hears anything else please do update!

Nataliet02, so did you actually go to the chapel? Are you, going for the chapel or the gazebo, did you see the gazebo? Is it cute?

Aww I'm so worried we're going to have a wedding nightmare.
