Wedding Planners/Coordinators? Any recommendations?!!

hey all -
i'm trying to finda  wedding coordinator (could be month of, week of and DEFINITELY day of...) also want to find someone to help me hone a cohesive wedding vision... this may or may not be the same person. i don't have a huge extravagant budget, but its not super limited either.

Has anyone used Stephanie from Tble 6 productions? Did she deliver? And exactly how expensive were her services?

Also, very interested in Sarah Trotter from Lasting Impressions Wedding Services (which seems like a really complete service for a decent price), has anyone used her services or knows anyone who has?

It's SO hard to tell exactly how well the services promised by coordinators and stylists really translate.

    I am using Mary from BumbleBee PA's because she charges hourly instead of a package deal.  It all depends on what you want the coordinator to do for you.  There are specific items I want taken car of so I decided to ask those items to the coordinator when meeting with them. If they didn't provide those services or wouldn't perform those specific tasks, I knew they weren't for me.

    You also need to 'click' with the person.  I met with 3...1 we didn't click at all, it was very weird consult and the other we did, but she wouldn't do one of the tasks I really wanted my DOC to do.  Mary and I clicked right away and she was willing to do anything I asked of her.  She charges hourly so I only will have her for the limit hours I need her.  She has been helping me out beforehand with contacting certain vendors and meeting at my reception to see where everything will be so she knows the day of.  She is super nice, very attentive, professional and gets back to me ASAP.  This is her full time job so she def makes me feel important to her and that I am the only one she is currently working with. She also had great recs from some fellow brides on contacted.  I have no doubt that she will be a big help on my wedding day.

    I hadn't thought of using a PA. That's a really GREAT  idea, but I think I need a little more of the complete package. Yeah, I  think you're right about meeting with people--it would be horrible to hire someone you do not click with... that would be pure torture!

    I am really trying to limit my choices--having all these resources online are awesome, except that there are SO many of them!

    Thanks for the idea! This may be an option for some of the pieces.

    I know a few people who have used Sarah Trotter with Lasting Impressions and I've heard nothing but good things about her. 

    I haven't heard of Stephanie.  

    I've also heard good things about Fab.You.Lous Event Design.

    I used Kirsten from Fab.You.Lous events and she was great!! I hired her on a couple of weeks before our wedding and wished we would have snatched her up sooner!!

    I HIGHLY recommend Sarah Trotter! She does amazing work! Has won a ton of Bridal Industry awards as well!

    Maria at Ispiri Events.

    She rocks.  When we initially met I felt like I was talking to a friend about all my wedding plans.  We used her as a DOC and she was AWESOME.  She helped at our rehearsal, went to our reception venue to set up in the morning, met us down at the ceremony site before the ceremony, helped organize everyone through out the day and took care of some issues we had during the reception.  I was SO glad we had her.  She made the whole day more enjoyable for everyone.  My MIL intially thougth we did not need a DOC but when she met Maria she loved her and agreed it had been a good idea :)
