BM Dress Shopping

Where are some good places to go shopping for bridesmaids' dresses in the Boston area? I am particularly interested in a store that carries Bill Levkoff designs . Thanks for any suggestions you may have. 

Also, do you need an appt to go look/browse or are walk-ins generally welcome?

    Appointments are a needed for most boutiques. I'm not sure about chains like DB or Alfred Angelo.

    Definitely check out the Bill Levkoff website to see what stores in MA carry their dresses.

    I chose Bill Levkoff dresses. There are a few places in Watertown and newton that carry them.

    I went to a store in Northboro and the dresses would have been $190 there, but we are getting them from netbride.com where we are paying $120-130 each.

    Like TheSlowskys, I also used netbride.com. My bridesmaids saved $100 each on their Dessy dresses. I definitely recommend using a company like netbride (there are several others like Pearl's Place, RK Bridal, Lee Phillips, etc.)

    Bridesmaids Galleria in Lynnfield is great.  I recommend making an appointment because it's such a small building, but not sure if they are required.  I ordered bridesmaids dresses from her for 2 other weddings that I was a part of and my bridesmaids just ordered their dresses there.  Prices are cheaper than other salons I've been to.  She has a large selection of Bill Levkoff!  :)

    Thanks for all the suggestions! I was planning on ordering my dresses online too but thanks for sharing that tip.

    I went to Cristina's in Andover - great selection but AWFUL service - no one helped us at all (and I made an appointment in advance!) it was very poorly run. But they had all Bill Levkoff & many others.

    I would say if you *can* make an appointment wherever you decide to look, you should --Even David's Bridal or Alfred Angelo.  Often times the salons are full or a bit chaotic...if you have an appointment then *hopefully* you have someone who is dedicated to you and our party to help find the perfect BM dress.  Good Luck!

    My BM's all live in different states, so we emailed ideas back and forth before settling on a Vera Wang for David's Bridal dress.  Then they all just found the closest DB to them in their state and ordered. 

    Good Luck with you dresses.  I think Flair on Newbury St. does Bill Levikoff if I remember from my research.
