Question re: Dress Shopping and Pics

I love seeing all the amazing PIPs of dress shopping you ladies have been doing! It's surprising to me though that all these stores are ok with you taking pictures. I've been dress shopping with my girlfriends quite a few times and every store has said that there are no pics allowed until you've purchased something.

So my question is - is it the norm for stores to allow pics and we're just camera shy up here in the great white North? Or are all you guys sneaking illegal pictures for our benefit? if so, I appreciate it!

    rdr - I think that is what we will do next time. Just go ahead with the pictures unless we're told otherwise. It's so nice to have something to look back on afterwards.

    All of the stores I went to allowed me to take pics. Like yaga said, it totally depends on the store.

    I went to four different dress stores.  Two allowed pictures, two didn't before purchase.  It just depends on the store.

    My friend just started taking pics on Saturday & they didn't say anything or stop her so I guess it was fine.  I did notice in one of the pictures though that there was a sign on the wall behind me that said: "Absolutely no photos" LOL
