I live 5 minutes away from Falkirk and naturally checked it out because it was so close to my house.  The place and grounds are beautiful!  I thought the bridal suite was rather small (not that this might matter to some).  What I didn't like about the place was that they were charging me extra for things that were included in all other places that I had visited.   Valet parking was an additional charge.  I wanted to have a viennese hour and unlike other venues they wouldn't extend the length of your reception unless you paid extra.  What really got me was they said I could extend the reception for 1/2 hour for an extra charge AND on my wedding day I would get a bill for any alcohol that was consumed in that last 1/2 hour.  I thought that was CRAZY!  I would be paying all this money and  they couldn't just throw that in for me!!   All of the venues that I visited and the one that I ended up choosing includes an extra hour for the "viennese hour"  which is included in the price when you opt for this option.   The place is beautiful but I just thought they nickel and dimed you for everything.

I looked at that place since I live the next town over. It was beautiful!! I love everything about it. They just finished their outdoor ceremoney area and they said they were getting a new dance floor. It was a very pretty place. The only thing was that it was VERY expensive. THe most expensive place I've seen so far. I think it was around $170 a head once everything was added on. That was my only problem with them.

However, I know someone who got married there before the name changed (I cant remember the previous name) and they raveddd about it!

I know...I am an event planner by trade and was SHOCKED at their pricing. I have been finding a lot of other places giving much more value for the money. If you don't mind me asking, where did both of you end up booking?

I'm getting married at Falkirk next May.  We have been really happy so far with the everyone we've worked with there.  When we were looking they very nicely invited us to come to try the food, which is excellent.  We are getting a five hour open bar (I just checked my contract), no extra charges.  We loved the outdoor space and the fact that they have a pub there that can stay open til 4am (a great way to keep the party going without paying to extend the reception).   I'm not interested in valet parking or viennese hour, so I can't comment on my experience on those things... we're very happy with their basic package!

It used to be called Inn at Central Valley. I was at a wedding there a few years ago and it was nice. I had heard that they were renovating the place and after I got engaged it was one of the places I was eager to check out. It's absolutely beautiful and all of the people I met there were very courteous and helpful. However, like some PP's mentioned above it is expensive!! My problem with the place is that I felt like I was paying such a high price because of some of the high end and over the top renovations they were doing. Hey, if you can afford the place, more power to you. I've heard a lot of good things about it and was quite impressed with it even though not all of the renovations were finished when I was there. But for us, planning to have around 160 guests and paying for the wedding ourselves, it was just too outrageous.

I recently visited the Falkirk Estate and Country Club and they quoted me a fantastic price of $120.00 per person for 2011 and the same price for 2012... I was hesitant on going there, the renovations are amazing, I was there for a wedding about 3 years ago and was VERY surprised on how much it changed...Thank God, it needed it.   Great price for what they are offering, this place is top on my list.  I am visiting other locations as well to compare.

We just had our wedding there on 7/3/11.  When my parents booked it, I was really upset...it was WAY more than I EVER wanted them to pay, and there were major fights regarding it.  However, after weeks of arguing and going back and forth, we gave up the fight.  The place is BEAUTIFUL and the food is TERRIFFIC...everyone was incredibly impressed with absolutely everything.  It's well worth the money spent when compared to other places in the area.  Good luck!

I SHOULD note that we really DID want to have our wedding there, it was the proce that had us arguing!

The wedding was AMAZING and everyone enjoyed themselves.  They're still raving about the food and service.  All of the details were taken care of and the entire reception ran smoothly.  Our only regret was that it wasn't nice enough out to take FULL advantage of the ground for photos, but if you have a good photographer, they'll take care of that for you (I was shocked by how much ours was able to do).
