Table Numbers/Names

Anyone have a unique idea for this?  We are trying to keep this cost down, but want to do something fun/creative.

i am providing a bottle of red wine for each table so i am using the bottles themselves as the table numbers. Just get pretty labels to cover the wind label :)

Thanks for the idea (great one by the way!), but our venue would make us by the wine from them ($30+ a bottle) :(

Empty bottles would work just as well. maybe you can fill them with small candies so your guests can much throughout the night? what about something that isn't necessarily a number? what about naming it after different things that you are interested in? my FI is a photographer so we were thinking it would be cool to use photos

My table numbers cost about $4 dollar total to make (13 tables). I went to Michael's and bought scrapbook paper.

I'm numbering my tables with numbers and flowers (that will coordinate with their escort cards). I'm making them myself with cardstock and drawing the flowers. But drawing is a hobby of mine. Think about your hobbies. Are you or your fiance readers? Amature photographers? Do you like to travel? Base it around something one or both of you love.

We did table names of the cities and places we're visiting on our honeymoon.  We were married Jan. 2 and we leave for our honeymoon in 3 weeks.  We're going to Austria, Germany, Czech Republic and Poland.  I wrote a small story (2-3 paragraphs) on each city or site.  The table name also went on the escort cards.  People loved them because they could walk around and see all the exciting places we're going and read a little about each one.  We'll be gone 18 days so had lots of places to chose from.

we have since scratched this idea...(because I changed my mind too many times!!) but I bought small woodend bouys and painted them our colors and stenciled the numbers on them.  Cost = about $40 ( little more expensive than paper)

Those are adorable buoys!  How come you scratched it?

We are locations that we have traveled to as a couple, our relationship has been long distance for 4 years so we have been a lot of places!  I am putting a picture of the two of us from that location in some kind of photo holder, and then maybe a little story on the back abotu what we did there.  IF i have time.

Hey Marissa - thanks!  I do like them but I did them before I really decided what I wanted for actual centerpieces...and when I did, I didn't like it with it - although everyone else did!  Oh well...maybe some other knottie can benefit from them! LOL

Your idea is great with the pic/story - very personal.

I just read about a cute idea in one of the bridal mags today: to use name of the couple's favorite bands! That's perfect for us b/c I'm an entertainment writer & he's a musician--we obviously have music in common... :)
B/c I'm also a photog, I'm using cooresponding pix of sunsets, which will be interesting since some of the band names are fairly generalized, i.e., Nirvana, Muse, Shinedown, Apocalyptica, etc. I plan to match the names to pix I think 'go with' the name....
Prolly complicated, but that's turning out to be the norm, lol! :D
