Delaying the Honeymoon

I think this is the right board for this. Are any of you waiting a little bit after the wedding before going on your honeymoon? We're getting married June 9, but we're not leaving for our honeymoon until June 22 because of school obligations for me. My question is... are you still getting a hotel for the wedding night? It seems kind of anticlimactic for us to just go home.

    We are delaying the honeymoon as my family will be coming from out of state I want to spend time with them. Absolutely getting a nice hotel room! This is a once in a lifetime experience hopefully enjoy it pamper yourselves.

    We are delaying our HM for 4 months, but it is only because I will be graduating school as a RN & it would not be very smart of me to take a trip while beginning a new job! 
    Everybody has different situations.  I wouldn't worry!

    We will be delaying our honeymoon for about seven or eight months! We're both grad students, so it's hard to take off lots of time. However, we *will* be doing a mini-moon right after the wedding, which basically means that we'll stay at our hotel for a couple of extra days and chill out. It will be quiet and low-key, which I think is exactly what we'll need!

    We are delaying our honeymoon for 3 months, partially because of weddings and partially because we want to go when it is cold in MN and warm in Florida!!  We are still booking a nice bridal suite for the night of the wedding so we can have the privacy and the luxury of being ALONE!!! 

    I've only actually known 1 couple in my entire life who has NOT delayed their honeymoon, so I have no problem telling you to go for it!! :) 

    Have fun no matter what happens!! :)
