So someone posted yesterday about getting their rings engraved. I have been thinking about this for a while and haven't come up with anything clever to get. So are you getting your rings engraved? What are you having written?

I'm surprising my FI with it... I chose a Latin phrase that I felt was symbolic of us and our relationship.

My ring is too narrow for an engraving.

My band is too thin width-wise to engrave it. We might get FI's done. Still not sure on that one.

We're not. They didn't recommend it with mine, as it's pretty narrow. I guess it didn't occur to me that we could still then just do FI's, ha ha. Oh well. Maybe we'll engrave his as an anniversary present at some point down the line or something.

Ours just have the date in them. Mine is tiny and FI's is tungsten, so we couldn't do much more than that.

We aren't. We don't have any local jewelers that will engrave tungsten rings. While I know it is possible, we aren't going to bother searching to find someone who will and sending them out this close to the wedding.

We got our rings engraved. Even though my ring is very narrow and small (ring size 4.5) and FI's ring is tungsten, it could still be done! Both of ours say our initials and our wedding date. Our jewelry store did it for free too.

Mine is too narrow to engrave, and FI knows that I had his engraved, but he doesn't know what it says. I had "Love Always -S" engraved on his

one will say "forever 10.28.12" and the other "always 10.28.12"
we have alwasy signed our letters, cards and texts with forever and always. and our wedding date is october 28, 2012.

we haven't decided who will get each word so we are going to tell our jewler to surprise us.

My e-ring has "I love you" engraved in it. My wedding band will have nothing. I got to engrave FI's ring for free. I had them put, "You are my sunshine." I always call him Sunshine.

Mine is not. It's too thin and my e-ring is splint shank...which is like impossible to engrave.

FI's is engraved; it was free when we ordered it. It says "Today, tomorrow, and forever in love 10.27.12"

We weren't going to get them engraved bc i have 2 wedding bands and fiances band is tungsten and i didnt think these could be engraved but based on pp posts i guess they can. I was going to get a tattoo of what I wanted it to say instead lol

We are not engraving...at least not right now. Maybe eventually we will decide to. Right now I have two metal balls in my band to keep my ring from moving (its very top heavy) so engraving the E-ring is out for now. I assume the wedding bands could be engraved, but we haven't really discussed it.

My wedding band is too narrow and small (size 4). But we're going to engrave my engagement rings "Tom's" and his wedding band "Nora's".

We did the date.

I wanted to put "Put my back on" on FI's ring, but he said no when he found out lol.

I had a pic of his engraving (tungsten) for the siggy, but it was too big and then I selected the wrong pic... and then tinypic pick crapped out!

We are not getting ours engraved. We might for an anniversary for down the road though. Who knows.

I wanted to but when it came time to ask about getting it done FI didn't want to. I'm hoping he'll reconsider for an anniversary maybe. I just think it adds a little something extra.

We're not having mine engraved. FI's has our wedding date engraved on the inside.

We aren't engraving our rings, I did pick up a small item I will give him that will have our wedding date engraved on it

Ours aren't engraved. Seemed like an additional cost that was unnecessary for us. My ring size is super small 3.25....yes I have freakishly small hands and the band is narrow so I feel like I would need a magnifying glass or bifocals to be able to read it. Pretty sure FI would forget his was even engraved and never read it soooo...yeah no engravings for us.

Not planning on it...if anything I'd put the wedding date or something..my e ring has past present future in it because that's the zales collection it came from...not because FI put it there but I like it..itd be nice to put that in his too.
