How did you and FI/DH come up with your wedding colors?

Honestly, i kept throwing out color schemes that i liked and he kept saying no.. then finally i said Turquoise Charcoal grey and black.. he said okay lol. Very boring i know.

FH could care less. LOL! The colors I am using in my wedding are colors that I love. No rhyme or reason really. I just wanted to have my favorite colors around my on my wedding day.

I picked them and he agreed he knows chocolate brown is my favorite color so he knew that would be incorporated. Really he didn't have much say I just said these are our colors

When we saw the lighting options at our venue, we had to go with purple. We then decided on purple and grey and later added pink as a highlight color.

I thought blue was both our favorite color (but I was wrong, FI prefers green more). I wanted cream and blush champagne but then realized that was too dull. So now we have a dusty blue, cream and a pop of yellow to give some vibrance to our setting

I wanted royal, elegant colors so I chose teal, cream and initially champagne. After deciding what I wanted my decor to look I threw out the champagne and threw gold in there and he was fine with it. He basically let me pick.

Same here on flip flopping with the colors but my FI actually picked the wedding colors after changing them 4 times.

I have been planning my wedding since I was a teenager. LOL I always wanted an elegant wedding so I wanted black and white. I threw in silver accents. Everyone including Fi thinks I picked the colors cause I am a die hard Raider fan but that really isn't the reason. LOL I just think it looks so pretty.

I flip flopped on colors for the longest...I tried to pick colors that we both would like. I really wanted plum for some reason lol...and he like blues..so we had purple and peacock (turquoise-ish color) but It was driving me crazy. When I told FI I didn't like it anymore and I was sorry I didn't like his color..he said you picked that color remember?!? lol!! Apparently I haven't been listening to him when he's been saying he doesn't care about colors and just let him know the final decision..lol...so for now and ...uh hopefully for good it's my plum, slate gray, and yellow for the highlight color that will be the flowers.

Blue is my favorite color so I have always known that some shade of blue would be in my wedding. FI is a Sigma so it all worked out we are using Royal blue, ivory and a silver/gray

He really wanted red and black (Chicago Bulls, Michael Jordan... his absolute FAVORITE!) Of course i said HELL to the NO! We both agreed on ivory and chocolate and he threw out orange to be funny (because that was one of his high school colors) surprisingly my FMIL had her living room decorated in burnt orange and chocolate at the time, and I LOVED how different but elegant it looked.

Blue is my favorite color, and we are having our wedding by the beach so FI wanted a nice "oceanic color". We were at a bridal expo and we were trying to explain our theme to one of the vendors, FI and I both had on turquoise shirts and mine had a soft peach trim. The vendor said, "so you're wearing the colors you want?" and we said, "yeah, I guess so". So our colors are turquoise, with black and white; to keep it elegant (I have seen too much turquoise go completely wrong and look tacky), with peach flowers.

LOL! I love it. Our colors were picked by my FI. He always liked earth tones, so we went with burgundy, hunter green, and brown. Now bc of lack of wedding party and reception, we went with the colors of my dress--ivory and gold.

When we first picked our colors they were suppose to be Canary Yellow,Ivory and Silver. However when we put these colors together they were to much alike.Ivory was still in the picture but FI then said he wanted orange, I wanted pink and since we both couldnt decide on of the two colors I went to google and started looking at pictures and ideas andI decided to incorporate them both with the main color. We will accent it with silver.

We went to college together and our schools colors are Red and Black... GOOO Aztecs - San Diego State- so it just worked for both of us. PLUS, I though black bridesmaids dresses were more practical for everyone
