petit fours instead of wedding cakes? or individual personal sized cakes?

Just wondering if anyone has done petit fours or individual sized cakes for their guests and the price and any bakeries in the mid-atlantic area (MD, DE, NJ, PA, DC).  Thanks.

I would post on one of the local boards to get input specific to your region.

I don't live in your area. But instead of a groom's cake, we're doing a mix of bride & tuxedo strawberries, mini pastries, and petit fours. The strawberries are $1.50 a piece, the pastries are $0.95, and petit fours are $6.00 each. We are serving for 100 people.
