Hi this is my first post here on The Knot. I just got engaged and we're being pretty crazy and trying to get married QUICK (think end of Aug/beg Sept 2010, and no I'm not pregnant, haha). I felt like this was possible since I want a very small and simple wedding (50 guests), but now I'm not so sure. The vision I am going for is country chic, rustic, picnicy, and casual. I thought I had my dream venue intact until I had to deal with the wedding coordinator from heck (keeping it pg here). So now I'm back to square one looking for venues. I'm on a pretty tight budget
($5000ish) so it's been tough. I'm open to most places including restaurants and park pavillions etc. I just don't want a place that is dependent on the weather. I am considering a Friday evening wedding, but I am also thinking that a Saturday or Sunday brunch might be nice since I don't want dancing. So does anyone have any suggestions for venues that might work for me especially for brunch?I'm pretty open to locations, but I live in West St. Paul, so if it was around St. Paul that would be a bonus. I would appreciate it so so much! Thanks!
