what to use to address invitations

Hello! I am addressing invitations this weekend and I don't know what to use. I was thining a thin Sharpie/permanent marker/marker, but my mom is thinking ink pens. Help please!

My mom just used a Fine point black Sharpie and they came out great. I had metallic envelopes so I was afraid to use anything else that may smudge.

I was writing on Black, so I used a white gel pen. The gel pen worked great for me.

Use a good computer printer and print the addresses onto the envelopes using a fancy script font.

I've used a thin Sharpie on my sister's. I bought a calligraphy pen but I can't make it look like it wasn't written by a ten year old that way.
