I feel like i made some major accomplishments this past weekend. Met with the Church organist and selected our wedding ceremony music, paid off the florist, assembled all of the invitations. All i need to do now is finish making the invitation labels and stamp them. I should have those out in the mail next week or so. And the best biggest accomplishment is that my FI and i finished making a wedding cake card box. I'm so happy with the way it turned out, just wanted to share.
Re: DIY Wedding Card Box
@Em- Me and my Fi have actually started talking about doing wedding crafts and possibly selling them, but with the wedding in 2 months and a few more things i would like to do. I dont see myself having any time to do that now. There are a bunch of videos on You tube and stuff that show you how to do them and how you can get real creative with rhinestones, beads, lace, ribbons, paint, silk, feathers, etc. The paper mache boxes you can get at Micheals or Hobby Lobby or craft stores for under $10. They sell them in circles and rectangle. You cut the bottoms out on the middle medium one and a hole on the large one. Then you have the small top one upside down and cut a card slot in it. We bought white wrapping paper and wrapped it. I used satin ribbon, silver ribbon, blue bachelors button flowers and rhinestones for decorating it. (It costed about $30 to make and alot of patience especially with doing the rhinestones.)
Good luck if you decide to make one too... I made a bunch of other things and am so excited and can't wait for everyone to see it all.
