Complete the sentance....

Build a nice hotel closer to the venue that would have no problem giving me a huge room block!

    or

Go with the fancy caterer instead of the good, but not great one.

I'd hire the band that we saw at a wedding last summer. They were incredible and received several (not exaggerating!) standing ovations. The band's version of Time to Say Goodbye gave the original a real run for its money.

Unfortunately, even if I had the money it wouldn't be possible. Pia, the lead singer, is a little busy... on American Idol.

Thats pretty awesome. I love her, but I gotta ask...when she sang at that wedding, did she sing anything other than ballads? Cuz I stopped voting for her (Yes i vote) b/c I am so-o sick of listening to her sing slow ballads. She hasnt proved she can do anything else and Im not all about a singer who is always slow.

I would normally say I'd change my venue...but Im liking Karas idea of paying for guests at a DW. Of course Id cut it back from my 175 people...but thatd be pretty awesome.

Now that you mention it, not many of her faster songs stick out. We were all so impressed with the ballads. However, I do recall some Black Eyed Peas numbers that were great.

The band also had a male lead singer. If he wasn't much older and didn't look like an Elvis impersonator, I'd say he'd be right up there on the AI stage with Pia. So incredibly talented. This band had it all!

You're all probably going to think I'm a freak, but I absolutely love chair covers.  I mean LOVE them, but our guest list is large and it would cost way too much.  But yes, that's what I would do if money wasn't an issue.

Full bar. We are planning on just wine & beer (and possibly sangria), but it would be nice to have more alcohol if the budget allowed it. Also, more food options. I love the food we are planning on getting (bbq), but also love the idea of food stations with a wide variety.

Josh and I have talked about how we should have. Couldve had a little bonfire/bbq afterward and not had the whole fuss...oh well

I would put flowers everywhere.  That was one of my splurges...but I wish I could have WAY more!

tough one.. either DW with everyone in attendance, or deck the room to look like we are in a destination, complete with super expensive linens, ceiling drapes, lighting, huge floral arrangements that are out of season, and that sort of craziness!

Extend my guest list definately. There's so many people I want at my wedding that I'm not able to invite bc of the size of our guest list due to budget. Makes me sad :(
