colour help!!!

my wedding colours are black and white, but I don't really want my maid of honour in black and white, is it ok if she wears another colour? will it look off? I was thinking of a dark silver, smokey kind of colour. ... thoughts or suggestions?

    When are you getting married?  I like when people do black and white with an accent color.  So maybe your BM can wear the accent color.  Otherwise I think a dark silver/pewter color would look elegant.  I think it depends on the venue and type of wedding you're having.

    All black and white weddings are popular, but also black, white and ANY other color is gorgeous. What color did you want your flowers to be? All white? Red is classic with black and white, but honestly ANY color would be lovely.

    Just about any color would work, but I think a smoky gray or silver would be really gorgeous. And, it's getting to be a more popular color, so you should have plenty of selection in either bridesmaid dresses, cocktail dresses or evening gowns.

    I think either idea the pp suggested is good. I think silver or gray would really look nice with the black & white theme, but I also think an accent color really helps pull the black & white theme together and break up the harshness.

    My friends did black and white with a Tiffany blue accent and it was gorgeous and still sophisticated like they wanted.

    I agree with PP - a silver color would look lovely.  But, you have a lot of other options, too depending on what other colors you might want to incorporate.  There are MANY, many shades of gray/silver/pewter out there, I'm sure you'll find one that pleases you.

    thank you for all your suggestions/advice!! My wedding is next July, venue is a banquet hall, it's going to be a traditional large italian wedding and I was going for the elegant/sophisticated look!


    waltzingmatilda, I was actually considering doing blue aswell, where else did your friend tie in the Tiffany Blue color?
