Sand Ceremony

Has anyone done this? It might be a silly question, but how do you get the sand and vase back home if its for a destination wedding?

    Hello, not a silly question! I am wondering the same thing. I was thinking about carrying the vase in my carry-on! Wrapped up with loads of towels of course lol; but im not sure how airport security will feel about the sand?? Any feedback is much appreciated!

    id probably bring it as a carry on home. I think it might get mixed up a little though and you wont really be able to see the 2 different layers of colored sand if it gets shook up alot. But the symbolism behind the sand ceremony is that each color of sand represents your husband and you.. and when joined together, its impossible to separate... you could just get another bag of sand and redo it when you get home though hahhaha.. i have seen some really nice sand vase things. ones like pictures frames were you fill half way up and there's anther slot for you to slide a picture in behind it... really nice.!
