We have our tasting tomorrow. Anyone have any advice on specific things to ask?

Have fun; but ask about specific allergens and, if the food is available seasonally or all year round and the difference in cost.

I'm so excited for you! Ours was tonight, but there's a blizzard so we're staying in.

I'm not sure if everyone is, but I know we're required to. In the contract for our band and photographer it states "client will provide 1 meal for each individual" or something like that. Our reception site has a different options for vendor meals vs. guest meals.

I don't think it's a requirement but fed vendors = happy vendors. After all, they will be there for hours even up to 10+ working for you.

<div>Many vendors will state in their contract that they require a meal. Our venue does these meals at half-price, which is nice.</div>

Have fun! I would ask about their ability to provide vegetarian and vegan options if people have diet restrictions.

We are not required to feed our vendors, but are because we want them to be happy and enjoy the evening as well. Our vendor meals are half the price of a reg meal. They will also be served the same thing everyone else is eating (some places only provide sandwiches for vendor meals).

Have fun at your tasting. We have our food tasting on Sunday! I can't wait.

So how did it go? Ours is on the 29th & I know there will be quite a few other couples. Did you have a group or private one? If group did they set up the cocktail room wit all the different options? I was warned not to eat breakfast. Lol

It went good. Ours was private as our venue does about 10 weddings a year. II thought we were going to do a duet plate with both chicken and beef but it was not impressive. We went with a blue cheese crusted filet minjon and a boursin stuffed chicken.

They do have vendor meals available and will offer a vegetarian plate too
