So I leave in 2 hours for Disney. It's 4 hours for the drive up, then we'll have dinner with my parents. Tomorrow we'll all hang out in the parks, which should be fun.
And then on Sunday, I get up at 3am (yes, it's ridiculous) to run the half marathon.
I'm seriously tweaking out. I'm so nervous, and I'm not sure why! I have all my equipment packed, I've prepared and trained. But I'm really, really nervous!
Anyone have any suggestions on how to conquer anxiety? What do you do to calm down when you're nervous?
Re: Getting nervous...

I have one a friend recommended to help me get to sleep. You breathe in for a count of six, hold for six, and let it out for six counts. A few cycles of that puts me right to sleep! But if you don't need help sleeping, maybe it'll be a good calming thing.
Here are a couple exercises I liked from an acting coach:
Take a big, emphatic breath in through your nose, hold it for a split second (without cutting off your breath entirely), then let your breath slowly float back out. Repeat.
You can also alternate this breathing with telling someone, something, or yourself in the mirror, as convincingly as you can, "Nothing makes me nervous." As many times as you like.
Other than that, I can tell you're really, really prepared and you'll be just fine! So don't worry! Sending you good vibes for a great trip and a great half-marathon. Also, don't forget to take pics for us!

Some deep breathing, and a little Gwyneth Paltrow "Forget You" from Glee on YouTube, and my heartbeat has returned to normal and my palms have stopped sweating. Thanks!!!
