Palm Valley Gardens and Catering

Hi everyone,

Happy New Year! I'm relatively new to posting, I mostly lurk! Tongue out

My wedding is at Palm Valley Gardens in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL on 11-11-11. Far off, but because the date is sure to be popular I booked ALOT a head of time, including my caterer.

On December 30, I got an email from PVG stating my caterer is no longer permitted to do business there and that I needed to find someone else.

My fiance and I are so disappointed. We met with several caterers and worked hard to customize our dream menu and now we have to start all over!

Palm Valley Gardens does have another caterer they use regularly and they are trying to set us up with a tasting, but I want to be sure we explore all our options!

Any PVG brides have any recommendations? Your help is much appreciated!

Thank you,
Adrienne

    Welcome to the boards Adrienne!

The caterer for our wedding is Mai Oui Gourmet, they are really easy to work with and very yummy! We didn't look too much into caterers after we found them. I hope that helps! What caterer were you planning on using for you wedding?

    Happy New Year!

    Hi GreenEyedNole,

Thanks for the warm welcome! I will definitely look into Mai Oui--I have actually worked with them on some events in past jobs so I don't know why I didn't think of them before!

I'll send you a PM about who my former caterer was. I feel weird about putting it out on the web--I don't want it to seem like I'm spreading gossip! I am very sad about the situation and take no joy in sharing this news. Frown

Thank you so much for the suggestion!!

Thank you all for your suggestions! We explored a few options (four, actually) and have decided to go with PVG's suggestion, The Chef's Garden. Crisis averted!

My fiance and I are very excited to work with them. For the most part, they were able to re-create the menu we originally developed and the only changes we made are some improvements that we worked on together.

It was great to be able to talk with them honestly about what had happened and how willing they were to work with us through the process.

The tasting was perfection and even my dad who was worried the food would be too "out there" for a wedding was really impressed!

The only thing I'm sad about now is that I have to wait until November to taste it all again!
