Josephat's Arts Hall

Has anyone know about pricing for a wedding reception at Josephat's Arts Hall? Is there a rental fee for use of the building? and are tables and chairs included? Also what does anyone think of Taste of Excellence catering?  Thank you all!!

I looked into this.  Unfortunately I didn't save the information.  If I recall correctly, it was $3,000 to rent it.  Tables and chairs were extra, although they may be included with the caterer.  It is not air-conditioned, so it may not be appropriate for a summer wedding.  Unfortunately I don't know anything about Taste of Excellence.  I hope this helps a little bit!

I met with Taste of Excellence and they seem to be excellent.  I think the hall is $2,500 to rent and TOE is the exclusive caterer as of last week.  The hall is beautiful.  The owner only rents it out during the Spring and the Fall due to the cost of air conditioning.
    Good luck!

I have actually used Taste of Excellence several times - the first was my sister's wedding, second for a private party, and third for our corporate Christmas party last year.  They are great - very reasonably priced and delicious food!  I would highly recommend them.

Taste of excellence is wonderful, I am using them for my wedding. I looked into Josephats art hall but however after my fiance and I did a 'google street view', we realized we didnt want to bring our guests to that sort of area....

If you book at a hotel or event center for your reception you will save a ton of money because everything is included (linens, room fee, chairs, tables, etc, and... most even throw in free center pieces)

We looked there and almost held onto it, but our wedding is over Labor Day weekend, and in Cleveland weather, we just couldn't take the chance without air conditioning. Another downside to us was the fact that if we were to have both the ceremony & reception there, all of the guests have to go outside while Taste of Excellence would change it up, and if it rained, the guests would just be able to stand in the lobby or up above at the other bar, where they would see all of the transition. For some reason, that just took some of the magic away in my mind. I know that sounds silly.

My Fiance and I questioned the area as well but after stopping by one of the events and talking to the cop we found out it's actually a very safe area. The cop grew up in the house across the street and his brother currently owns the house.  I think he said it's predominately a chinese neighborhood.
